रोडोफाइट्स (Rhodophytes) का हिंदी में अर्थ लाल  शैवाल है. रोडोफाइटा संघ से संबंधित हैं, जिन्हें लाल शैवाल कहा जाता है. ये शैवाल लाल रंग के होते हैं, जो उनके अंदर पाए जाने वाले लाल रंग के वर्णक फ़ाइकोएरिथ्रिन की वजह से होता है. ये शैवाल मुख्य रूप से समुद्री और मीठे पानी में पाए जाते हैं और इनमें विभिन्न प्रकार के आकार और रंग होते हैं.
